Training required

Answers the center's main phone line and texts, handles initial client contact, and coordinates appointments and scheduling. Ensures center volunteers and staff have the resources they need to serve clients effectively.
Meets with women who come to the pregnancy center to learn about a potential pregnancy or STD. Conducts intake and provides options education, and is responsible for the education, emotional support, and assistance of pregnancy-test clients.
Supports parenting clients — women, men, and families — with training and resources to help them be the best parents they can be, including nurturing relationships, healthy starts, effective education, and character development.
Meets with the father of the baby, or the man stepping up to support the birth mother, addressing his concerns during the decision-making process and beyond. Provides support, education, discipleship, and assistance one-on-one or through men's groups.
Manages incoming client communications — website inquiries, calls, texts — when centers are closed evenings, weekends, or holidays. Serves from home with calls forwarded to a cell phone. Shifts typically run 5 pm–9 am the next business day; weekend shifts run 5 pm Friday to 9 am Monday. No need to stay awake all night.

Provides ultrasound scans to confirm pregnancy, continues options education, and refers clients to ongoing prenatal care and maternity case management. Open to RNs who are trained client advocates and volunteers in good standing at the center.
Physicians, PAs, and NPs provide medical consultations, referrals, and staffing for the STD clinic.
Certified childbirth educators (CCE) provide classes for clients preparing for their birthing experience. RNs are preferred; if the CCE isn't an RN, an RN joins to provide medical consultation as needed.

Assists center staff with oversight of incoming donations and the center's boutique, and inspects furnishings and furniture for distribution.
Sorts through and prepares incoming donations for clients receiving material support through the center's boutique.
A volunteer gifted in data entry ensures accurate input of client records into the electronic database.

Works on "handyman" projects as they arise — painting, flooring, moving, refinishing, and similar tasks. Volunteers serving as electricians or plumbers must be licensed and bonded, and provide info to the finance office for vendor files.
Helps keep the facility clean — dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, bathroom and kitchen cleaning.
Helps with the general maintenance and upkeep of the center.

Meets with women who come to the mobile unit about a potential pregnancy or STD screening. Conducts intake and provides options education, and supports the education, emotional support, and assistance of mobile-unit clients.
Physicians, PAs, NPs, and RNs assist clients with necessary medical services: medical consultations, physical exams, ultrasound, and STD testing/screening.
Training required
- Driver application and background check

- Train with a lead driver
Transports the mobile unit to its service location and back to storage. Completes a rig check, ensures proper setup for daily operations, may restock supplies, and provides security during operational hours.
Transports the mobile unit to weekend events at area churches and community events. Completes a rig check at pickup, transports to the assigned event, and returns it to storage.

What speakers need
- Available during school days/hours; able to walk distances and stand for periods of time
- Responsible for their own transportation (reimbursement available)
- Able to speak to groups without giving individual opinions on faith, abortion, homosexuality, gender, etc.
Shares holistic relationship education lessons that are medically and scientifically accurate with youth and adults across the Puget Sound — presenting in person at public and private schools, churches, and other community-focused locations.
- At least 10 presentations per school year (spread out or several in one day)
- You choose the location, though close locations aren't guaranteed — travel time may exceed 30 minutes

Most Healing Tide leaders have experienced abortion, miscarriage, or infant loss themselves and move into a group-leader role after going through the program. There are separate groups for each kind of pregnancy loss — though having experienced loss is not a requirement for every group leader.

Leads the Healing Tide post-abortion support group or miscarriage support group alongside a co-leader, and facilitates discussion of the Bible study used in a weekly group or weekend retreat.
A facilitator-in-training who observes, learns from, and assists the group facilitator through the weekly group or weekend retreat.
No training required. Choose one or a combination of ways to join the prayer team:
- Monthly prayer newsletters by email with general prayer needs for all centers
- Prayer requests for individual centers and programs (about 8–10 emails per month)
- Text notifications when immediate prayer is needed for a client considering abortion — the text simply reads "NOT THIS ONE" to protect confidentiality while rallying support
- Join your local center's monthly day of intercessory prayer, or commit to a steering committee or special event
Communicates prayer requests and prayer-focus reports via email prayer chains.
- Training required: attend Care Net 101, plus training on the email system and prayer chain
Serves as the link between Care Net of Puget Sound and a church family and pastors, communicating news and needs through announcements. Quarterly updates go out on volunteer opportunities, baby bottle campaigns, and upcoming events. Can also connect a church member who needs help — or knows someone who does — during an unexpected pregnancy, pregnancy loss, or parenting classes.

Assists with computer operations across Care Net of Puget Sound, serving on the IT committee and/or supporting a community center. Skills in hardware, software, networking, and/or security are needed — may also help at special events or community presentations.
Helps at the Tacoma administrative office across a variety of roles:
- Center Orders/Copy Work — makes copies and fills center form orders
- Manual Assembly — helps produce and assemble ministry manuals
- Mailings — assists with receipt and thank-you note mailings
- Database Maintenance — assists with certain database updates
- Hospitality — assists with food and beverage service for trainings and staff meetings
- Delivery Driver — delivers center orders and items to/from storage, and donations between centers or partner organizations
Training required
- On-the-job training with the development coordinator or a committee member
Assists the development coordinator as a committee member and/or event helper. Available roles include, but aren't limited to:
- Sanctity of Human Life Sunday — phone calls, packet assembly
- Baby Bottle Drives — preparing bottles for pickup, then emptying and cleaning them after the campaign
- Banquet or Hope Events — helping plan the event; decorations, registration, set-up and/or take-down
- Golf Tournament — pre-tournament planning; decorations, registration, and other key components
Training required
- Professional experience in the area where the member desires to serve

Physicians, PAs, NPs, RNs, and medical clinic administrative leaders provide help and support to Care Net's medical clinic services. Members promote the ministry in their communities and circle of influence, refer patients to Care Net's program services, and provide advisory support in best practices and professional referrals.
Lawyers across a variety of specialties provide support and advice to Care Net of Puget Sound as needed, and promote the work of Care Net in their communities and circle of influence.
